HAPPY SUNDAY to you

This picture is not mine but I LOVE it and the words to the song "I hope you dance" too. I've found it on Pinterest and I thought, I have to share it with you all on this wonderful summer Sunday! Have a nice day!

I hope you dance too....!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY 2012

Art Prints

I was so lucky and privileged to call TWO women in my life as my mother. Today, on Mothers Day it brings back all the good memories of a wonderful childhood I had and two caring, loving Mothers on my side. I'm so thankful for all the LOVE I could experience back then - many, many moons ago. I still love them both deeply from my hearth - even though they are both no more with me on this earth. Thank you both for everything you gave to me!

I'm sure, we will meet again - somewhere, some when!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all Mothers out there!

~Susanne

Links in a Chain

We are not free, separate, and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.

Peeling off....

This are close ups from the skin of one of the palm trees in the yard. They look almost like strange landscapes from a foreign world.

Five Things to do in Key West - Series 7

Today we will visit the historical harbor of Key West where all the sunset cruisers and many privat boats are anchored. The sculpture in the front shows a wrecker looking out to the water to see if there are some unsuspecting ships to loot.

Here is the AIDS-Memorial at Whitehead Pier remembering all those who have died from this illness.

It's Happy-Hour at Louie's Backyard!

At "Dog Beach" is the only place in Key West where you can take a swim with your four-legged friend.

And enjoy on the way back home all these beautiful homes, like this one on Southard Street.

Red Skyline

A tropical skyline in a fantastic red color, it looks almost like fire in the clouds. The picture is made without using a photofilter. This is the almost everyevening show of a dramatic sunset in Key West, seen from the spot where I'm living.

Do you know the story behind all the wild roosters running around in Key West? I will explain that in more detail in another post.

No, no.... don't worry! There is no storm or Hurrican coming just now over Key West - so far we were really very lucky untill today. This is a older picture of the arriving waves of Hurrican Dennis (in 2005) and it show you how storm surges can be a big fun for some people out there at Whitehead Pier.

Believe it or not, Smather's Beach is not a natural beach at all. It is a made up beach with a lot of planted nice palmtrees and white sand from the Bahamas - only the color of the water is original all the time. But it is always a wunderful place to swim in the Atlantic, for snorkeling or just to enjoy your days off from work. And it is also the spot where I'm doing a lot of weddings.

Sanibel and Captiva Islands are off from Ft.Myers Beach, quiet and relaxing places to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Take a long walk at the beach to enjoy the wildlife and the nature scenes.
