I know, these shots are not the best of mine, but I had fun to meet not only the beautiful orange-yellow SUPER-Full-Moon, I had also two unexpected companions beside me while I was shooting this phenomena of the closest moon to earth.

Next Sunday will be a SPECIAL DAY for me and my blog. 
It's anniversary day - Yeah :-))))


After 6 years of blogging I'm not that sure if I will continue this blog... and it's hard for me to make this decision. 


"My baby" is now 6 years old and it is like in the real world, I don't want to let "my baby" go away, separated from me - and I'll be maybe forgotten too. 


But, I also would love to have time to do more creative work or even to learn something very different and new - away from photography, looking maybe for a new challenge in this world wide web of possibilities.


Well, as you can feel, I really don't have made up my mind right now.
Stay with me, first of all we will celebrate together next Sunday - the Champagne is ready - it's open house here...come in! :-))


Blogging almost every day for 6 years is quiet a long time, I have made some really nice friends from all over the world - I'm so thankful for that and I really don't want to loose YOU!

Caution Alligators!

Yep, we are here in Florida.....! 

But, I haven't seen one of them, they must have been hiding out in the shade somewhere....

A pretty park with a nice and long path around the lake, 

a good way to do our daily walk as a little workout.

 In the lake were not only alligators, there were hundreds of small and big fishes.... 

...and we saw a lot of "snake head" turtles in all sizes.....

...and hundred's (!) of Ibises were walking all over the place and they were even sitting up in the trees. I'll show you a picture of that another day - it looks really funny.... they are very busy birds, always picking in the ground for food and walking fast.... here I caught them picking those little fishes out of the water.

we took a ride to the beach and to that nice park area where I shot all those pictures - and many more :-))

It was a beautiful, hot Florida afternoon, for once without that every day afternoon rain showers.

I hope you'll enjoy the pictures too - I had big fun to make them.

Never look back.... the quote is very true, but not for photographers. I get thought in art school always to take also a look back and the world presents itself to you in a maybe more interesting scenery! Try it....it's really fun to do.

In less than 90 days my blog will be 6 years old and I have decided to stop it. I have other plans in blogging. I'll let you know more about when time is come - it will be very different! But until then is still some time left to show you some of my photography.

I was very busy recently and couldn't post for two days, but now I'm back again with one of my pictures I did 2 days ago of a shrimp boat, sitting in the harbor of Cape Canaveral. And there I saw these BIG fishes "cleaning up" the barnacles off the side walls of the boat. I bet, you could have catch them with your own hands, they were so busy...

You would not believe it, but it was so hard to find a poem about pelicans! But I got one - the one above, and I like it, it's short and humorous. I hope you'll enjoy too.

These coming next days I will try to capture the closest full moon we have now since long time in history. I hope the "Weather Gods" will be good to us and will not cover up the whole night sky with clouds :))

The Pelicans are back!

The pelicans are migrating and took over "The rocks" in Jetty Park, at Cape Canaveral

Get out of my way, that was my spot last year and it's my spot this year also!

The white pelicans are migrating and back. Taking over "The Rocks" out in Jetty Park at the Cape Canaveral shores. I have captured some of them and it's fun to watch their cleaning rituals.

A large flock of White Pelicans winter also in the Indian River near Scottsmoor Landing. You might see them flying and feeding anywhere on Merritt Island.

Jellyfish or Medusa

Jellyfish (also known as jellies or sea jellies or Medusozoa)

are free-swimming members of the phylum Cnidaria. Jellyfish have several different morphologies that represent several different cnidarian classes including the Scyphozoa (over 200 species), Staurozoa (about 50 species), Cubozoa (about 20 species), and Hydrozoa (about 1000–1500 species that make jellyfish and many more that do not). Medusa is another word for jellyfish, and refers specifically to adult jellyfish.
Jellyfish are found in every ocean, from the surface to the deep sea. Some hydrozoan jellyfish, or hydromedusae, are also found in fresh water; freshwater species are less than an inch (25 mm) in diameter, are colorless and do not sting. Many of the best-known jellyfish, such as Aurelia, are scyphomedusae. These are the large, often colorful, jellyfish that are common in coastal zones worldwide.
In its broadest sense, the term jellyfish also generally refers to members of the phylum Ctenophora. Although not closely related to cnidarian jellyfish, ctenophores are also free-swimming planktonic carnivores, are generally transparent or translucent, and exist in shallow to deep portions of all the world's oceans.
Alternative names for groups of jellyfish are scyphomedusae, stauromedusae, cubomedusae, and hydromedusae. These may relate to an entire order or class.

Jetty Park at Port Canaveral, FL

A Manatee and a Sea turtle, captured in Jetty-Park, Cape Canaveral

Hi my friends,

Yesterday I have seen for the first time in my life for real a Manatee swimming in open waters. It was very impressive to see this protected animal of the sea in its natural habitat. Later on I've spotted a sea turtle peeping out from the water.

Jetty Park 

is one of the most popular recreation spots in Brevard County. Besides the 4.5 acre family beach with its designated areas for swimming and surfing (lifeguards on duty year round), one of this park's best-loved features is the 1,200 foot Malcolm E. McLouth Fishing Pier - open 24 hours, paved, lighted, equipped with fish-cleaning tables with running water and fully accessible to the physically challenged. Specially designed beach wheelchairs give access both to the beach and pier. A recently renovated and expanded building on the boardwalk houses an air-conditioned refreshment center and a bait and tackle shop.

This pretty white Heron bird I've captured in one of the swamps in Cypress Garden in South Carolina. He was not distracted at all from the clicking sound of my camera on
his hunt for a good dinner. Isn't he beautiful?

And now I have to bring hubby again to the ER, he is still ill, it's getting not better at all!!
