The greatest danger....

The greatest danger for most of us is not that we aim too high and we miss it, but we aim too low and reach it.

Let us always meet with smile....

Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.

Hi my friends,

I'm baaaaack.......!
I hope you all had a great time. Dave and I were very busy the last three days.
First we were busy and after that just tired - moving is not that much fun!
Our (old!) bones are telling that too...... :))

We are looking forward now to a new good life with way more peace in mind and relaxing moments than we had on the old place.

Life is good, right? I hope it's that way for you too!

Sending you a BIG smile today!
~Susanne

I think we all need some sunshine today!

Hi my friends,

It's cold in Florida!! 35.9F are NOT the temperatures we are used to and there is no sunshine to see today in the Sunshine State. I really think, we all need some warmth in form of a strong red colored flower that's replaces the sun today in a symbolic way. I hope it warms up your hearts!

Thank you for all your kind comments from yesterday. Today I'm a nurse at home (that's my 2nd job just now), my husband is ill since some days with a very bad cough. Hoping it will be better every day, just now it doesn't looks like....

Tomorrow I have another "Wordless Sunday" photo for you. Come back tomorrow if you can. See you - and love you all!

Stay warm!
Susanne

Have a wonderful day and see you tomorrow again - same time, same place :)

I know, it's election day....

I know, it's election day today and the whole world is looking to America and asking who will win the presidential race. I'm not into politics at all, I never was and I never will be. But I hope that Obama wins - America needs to wake up, coming alive again! Anyway, however... this is all that I'm going to say about the political situation...!

And now to my red flowers.....

A good blog friend of mine, Richard from "An Arkies Musing" - check out his nice blog please! - told me that these red flowers have the very impressive and also more than provocative name, "Naked Ladies"! Well... these are pretty naked ladies, right? :)

Of course, I had to find a matching quote for my "Naked Ladies" ... and voila - here is what I think is great and wisely said:

Can you imagine a world without men?
No crime and lots of happy fat women.

We say we love flowers...

“We say we love flowers, yet we pluck them.
We say we love trees, yet we cut them down.
And people still wonder why some are afraid when told they are loved.”

Red for Monday - Only so...

After so many black and white photos on my blog in the last days,
we need now some RED colors here, right? Because:

RED is energy - RED is life,
the color of your blood is RED
and
RED is also the color for LOVE.

Let's celebrate Monday in RED today! :-)

Between the days...

This year 2007 is coming to its end soon - it's time to look back to all that what happened to me in this last 365 days.
I'm asking myself today all the "Why's" and I've found answers in many

reasons of: "because of this and that"...

But in the end and over all it was a GOOD year for me in personal and I'm thankful for all the good stuff that happened to me
and

I hope it is the same for YOU too!

Roses for You!

People say, the queen of all flowers are the roses. I love roses, they are wonderful, majestic, they smell good - but much more I do love the orchids. I will bring more out of my orchid collection in another post.

Red Hibiscus

My red Hibiscus bush has so many new flowers now. They popped out after the short but havy rainfall we had some days ago. Isn't she a beauty?
Seit dem kurzen, aber heftigen Regenfall vor ein paar Tagen hat mein Hibiskus-Busch, viele neue Blueten hervorgebracht. Ist sie nicht wunderschoen?

In Love and Memory to my Mother

Close your eyes and wish for the one thing
Close your eyes and wish for the one thing
You cannot do without, and when you do,
Near your heart you'll find it, always there,
Treasure that is dear but not so rare,
Held in the mesh that all your dreams flow through.
In truth, no gift more happiness can bring,
And so this day I give my love to you.

Bougainvillas

Everywhere you'll go in town and allover the island you will see these terrific blooming Bougainvillas - a very pretty color enrichment to the yards of Key West.
Ueberall, wohin du gehst auf dieser Insel, begegnen dir diese in solch ausdruckstarken Farben bluehenden Bougainvillabuesche, die einen praechtigen Farbakzent setzen zu weissen Mauern und Gaerten.
