I remember this day as it happened just yesterday. Sad, and silence is the best way to honor those who died on that day. Unfortunately, Sep 11 is also my husbands bday. Anna :)
Yes, me too! I remember that very well, I had a wedding at 11a.m. on that day at the beach at Fort Zach Taylor. After the ceremony people in the park were running towards us to tell us these bad news. At home we were watching TV the whole day long - and I was crying and so much afraid about having a war soon or more attacks will happen.
But you know Anna, everything in life has two sites: Your husbands birthday is a HAPPY day, celebrate together and feel the love!:-)

Hi Bob,
Thank you so much for your comment. It's a sad rose for a sad moment!
We must focus now on preventing such things happening again. We all can learn from this tragedy.
I like this as a photograph - it has a sense of elegance just starting to fade, and reminds me that nothing lasts forever.
Hi Titania,
You are right! We all hope that nothing like this will happen anymore and anywhere!
Thank you Richard!
I see it that way too and this rose almost makes me cry - I don't know why.
It was a sad day and one that will live in our memories forever. A beautiful tribute
Thank you Max for this nice words!
