The umbrellas was made for....

The umbrella was made for rainy days, the white man uses it for the sun.

Hi my friends,

This photo was made on new years day at the beach, before I got sick. I guess the people with those umbrellas moved back into the dunes because of the strong wind we had directly at the shore. These umbrellas were a nice colorful addition to my shot.

Yesterday I felt better than I do today - I really hope it will be over soon with this annoying flu. It blocks me from being creative and from doing productive work. What's up....everything will be fine one day, I have to be patience... one day it will be over!

Thank you all for all your good wishes, also on facebook! I do appreciate your words and comments also in the new year, my friends!

Have a wonderful day!
~Susanne

Miniature Sand Dunes

All love that has not friendship for its base, is like a mansion built upon the sand.
~Ella Wheeler Wilcox~

Hi my friends,

The photo above was made two days ago in the evening at the beach, close where I'm living. I've captured the last long sunbeams over the miniature sand dunes. I like this light situations, they are warm and so soft looking. It's the best time of the day for shooting photos, since I can't get up that early in the mornings :))

I hope you enjoy the picture!
Have a wonderful day,
Susanne

Beach Snaps...

Way out to the beach at Folly's

"High" sand dune

Beach grass in evening light

The pier at Folly's

Wildflowers in the sand

It was the first time I let my good camera at home when we left yesterday the house. It was not planned to go anywhere and sudden we decided to do a ride out to Folly Beach. We both like that beach the best in Charleston.
But luckily, we always have the small 5.1 MP Sony Camera in our car and this snaps here were made with that one....well, that's all.
Happy Friday everyone!
