The Shuttle did NOT went off

The Shuttle Discovery STS-128 did NOT went off last night because of - they said - bad weather conditions. Even though the night sky was clear and the stars were beautiful and bright, only some lightnings here and there on the horizon, but not that strong at all.

We all - Dave and I, and maybe 100 other people - were waiting with big patience to see that spectacle. Some brought a radio with them to listen to the countdown that never happened and some had even their laptop on their knees. One could feel the big disappointment in the crowd when the NASA Control Station said "No" to let the Shuttle going up to space. It is now postponed for tonight at 01.10 A.M.

I don't know if I can be standing up again so long....LOL...

Nice picture. Read that the Discovery launch canceled due to a broken valve. Hope they don't take a lot of time to get it fixed

Gorgeous image, but as for the fact that it didn't launch... seriously, better safe than sorry.

Shame it never went off Susanne for you to see.

Thankyou for coming back to my blog. You don't have to apologise. I know that sometimes it's not possible in our lives to be on the internet every day. It's nice to see you now and again my friend, no worries at all.

Good luck in your new apartment in Florida. Is this a temporary move or is it long term Susanne?

This is good technological change, as you always publish natural ones.
