The Good Old Days....

I'm wondering how much people had to pay for Gasoline back then when this pump was still active!

I photographed this cute looking old gasoline station yesterday, on my way to Beaufort. It really takes you back in time, right?

Frozen in time...

I think they have seen better times and I'm sure, it could tell you a lot of stories

Location:
At the intersection of Routes 17 and 303, west of Ashepoo.
Colleton Co - SC

Wow the lads (and me of course) from the camera club would love to be let loose to photograph here. Endless possibilities and you have used it well. Great images.

We pay £1.14 per litre here at the moment. Soon we'll be using a horse and cart for transport again it's getting so expensive.

Hi Carol, I can organize a workshop here for you guys, what do you think?:-)

That's a really expensive price to pay for riding a car, I know. Back to the horses is no more far away.:-)

I like the settings of this place, with this colorful vegetation.

About fuel prices, I am hardly hit. Because on my airticket I have now to pay a fuel surcharge of USD 140. Which is about 10 % of the normal fare. And by horse, I cannot go. It is too far.

Hi Peter,

of course can you go with a horse! You just have to train your horse to swim the Mediterranean sea, but first also trough the desert... LOL...

Thanks for your comment.:-)
