It was a gray and cloudy day, barely sunshine.... I went to the beach to shoot some pictures in black & white.
They look much better then they would look in color.

Sorry, that you have to keep up with palm trees again, but I think they belong to paradise like the pine trees to the rolling hills on other places.
And I love palm trees!

Don't be sorry!! Palm trees are cool! All I see are pine trees here in the Rocky Mountains so this is surely a treat and you captured it perfectly by using the black and white. Very nice, Sue!
Hi Michele,
thanks for your nice comment.
I love palm trees, they are very photogenic - we have not to many other trees here. Maybe some sea grape bushes and some pines.:-)
Susanne, these are very nice, I actually like them very much. I think they would look great with this thick white mat, or use them as postcards. Great shots, I never have enough of palm trees, they are different every time plus we don't have any here. Anna :)
Thanks Anna,
I'm glad you like them too. I will make some postcards from this shot after Christmas - over there at my shop by:

always adore B&W images - lovely stuff... reminded me of being a teen again... my bedroom had a wall mural of palm trees.
Hi Barbara,
it's great when my pictures are bringing back some good memories for you! Thanks for your comment.
I love Palm Trees, Nice shot, my daughter does a lot of black and white, highly under rated. She got me a real cool shot of some Palm trees on the Mediterranean Sea when she was in Barcelona, in black and white, too cool.
i luv the desat shots..it makes you look at them in a different way..
k:))
Hi Bob,
Thanks for your kind comment. The comet photo is amazing! Tonight I will go out and try to find the comet, you wrote, that I can see him with my eyes very well.:-)
Hi Karoline,
Thanks for your comment. It's not just a desat picture, I made it in PS with >image>mode>grayscale>duotone...
I'm glad you liked it!
Keep them coming Sue, won't tire of them
Thanks Loz,
I'm glad I found another palm tree lover in you! :-)
Thanks for your comment!
Removing color from a photo allows the form to speak for itself. These are great, especially the top one.
B&W photos are more artistic. I used to *love* shooting in B&W for more dramatic shots. Your palm trees are *lovely*, and they bring back warm, fuzzy thoughts of the tropics that I *wished* I lived in! :-) Up here in Wisconsin, it's too cold for too long!
Hi Leza,
Thank you very much for your nice comment to my palms in B&W.
