Sailing away

The Pleasure Boat

The sun-light falling on her sheet,
It glitters like the drift,
Sparkling, in scorn of summer's heat,
High up some mountain rift.

The winds are fresh-she's driving fast.
Upon the bending tide,
The crinkling sail, and crinkling mast,
Go with her side by side.

I love how you have captured these forms overlapping and the light that you captured them in.

As a Norwegian with a long sailor traditions I do feel familiar with this photo - full windy sails is always promising you know:-)

Hi Renny,

Down here in the Caribbeans we have the pirates. That's another tradition of sailors than the Norwegians, I guess..? Rrrrr.... :-))

Thank you so much for your comment!

Well, it seems the different sailor's nations are joining here: Nice place to meet!
Beautiful sails!
I'm a bit away from it, still posting on Provence at Blogtrotter

Yep, here is THE international meeting point for "sailors from all over the world" - welcome on board!

Thank you for your nice comment, GMG. I loved your last postings about Cezannes living place. I'm a big admirer of Cezannes paintings, almost more than Van Gogh's.

Thank you Cindy

for the nice comment to this picture.

And to Rick:

I think this picture would be probably very "flat" in B&W.....
