Easy Rider - the tropical version

Tropical Easy Rider - Captured at Port Canaveral, FL

Easy Rider
is a 1969 American road movie written by Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Terry Southern, produced by Fonda and directed by Hopper. It tells the story of two bikers (played by Fonda and Hopper) who travel through the American Southwest and South with the aim of achieving freedom. The success of Easy Rider helped spark the New Hollywood phase of filmmaking during the late sixties. The film was added to the Library of Congress National Registry in 1998.
A landmark counterculture film,[2] and a "touchstone for a generation" that "captured the national imagination",[3] Easy Rider explores the societal landscape, issues, and tensions in the United States during the 1960s, such as the rise and fall of the hippie movement, drug use, and communal lifestyle. Easy Rider is famous for its use of real drugs in its portrayal of marijuana and other substances. Read more here...

Not for car lovers only....

Drive-in banks were established so most of the cars today could see their real owners.

Hi my friends,

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments to my "Wordless Sunday" post yesterday. I'm happy you liked the picture - thanks also to all my facebook friends and fans for commenting over there!

I have photographed this car (picture above) on an auction in Branson, Missouri. I don't know what kind of model it was, I just loved the detail and the elegance. And I love the quote! :)

Wishing you a wonderful start in this new week - hopefully filled with only good surprises!
~Susanne

The Norwegian Sun - Take a Cruise!

"The Norwegian Sun" is gliding out to deep waters

Close up of the bow and the colorful deco of "The Norwegian Sun"

The first of 'The Norwegian" fleet
designed to completely embody Norwegian's "Freestyle" cruising concept, the Sun is defined by fabulous choice after choice.

With nine restaurants -- including those offering Pacific Rim, Italian and other specialties -- you can have a different type of meal each day of your cruise, with seating at whichever hour of the evening you please.

There's also an Internet cafe with 20 computers as well as wine tastings and art auctions.

An outdoor basketball court, jogging track, batting cages, golf simulators and a fitness center that never closes will keep more active types busy. Nightlife is first rate, with dancing, Broadway shows, a cigar bar and other lounges, variety shows and the Monte Carlo Casino.

Don't worry about the kids -- they're making their own splashes with the Kid's Crew.

Hi my friends,
Have you ever been traveling the seas on a cruise ship? Not me... I just love to watch those majestic "big boats" leaving out of Port Canaveral!
Thank you so much for all the nice comments to my recent cat photo. Tomorrow will be my "Wordless Sunday" again - come back and have a look. I do appreciate every single comment from you.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend day!
Susanne

And the opposite to the picture above is this shrimp boat going out to the deep water just before sunset at Port Canaveral
