Purple, Orange and Golden Sky

The whole sky was colored into a deep purple after this spectacular sunset.

A classic red sun over the mangrove island painted the sky in a deep red-orange.

And this is how it looks after a hard rainfall when the sun decides to come back again to set down and to show us her golden glow in the sky and over the water.

Red Fireball

Last night's sunset in a mysterious red glow. The sun is setting down already behind Sunset Key Island and is no more that good visibel for all the tourist. "She" (the sun) will stay there up to the official date of summer begin at June 21th. After that "she" starts moving back again, out to the open water.

Dies ist der Sonnenuntergang von gestern: in tiefes Rot getauchte Wolken und das geheimnisvolle Glitzern des Wassers, waehrend ein paar Moeven und Pelikane ihre Runden drehen. Nun geht die Sonne bereits hinter Sunset Key Insel runter und bleibt dort bis zum Sommeranfang am 21. Juni. Danach bewegt sie sich dann langsam wieder zurueck ins offene Meer hinaus.

Island in the Sun...

Everyone knows Harry Belafontes song, "Island in the sun". Mustafa, our Calypso musician and the singer with the warm voice at the pier, sings this song every evening honoring to the sinking sun:
