Warm September Days

First signs of fall - but not here in Florida :)

Try to remember the kind of September
when life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when you were a tender and callow fellow,
Try to remember and if you remember the follow.

Try to remember when life was so tender
that no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender that
dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender that

love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember and if you remember then follow.

Fall is just around the corner!
ENJOY!
Susanne :)

Great song, lovely lyrics! It's from a show called the Fantastiks which was the longest running show in history.

The leaves are particularly spectacular where I live, especially the maples which turn a deep red. They should be peaking in about three weeks.

Take some pictures, Marty and combine them to your Aphorisms :)

I would love to see those magnificent colors of the fall in the North.

Thank you for commenting!

I was surprised too about Tome Jones, I always thought it was only H. Belafonte. Anyway... thank you very much for commenting!

I'm so sorry to hear about your back pain problems, wish you good healing or at least good massages! :)
