Okay, now you really made my heart leap up. I lived in Tucson many years, and San Javier Mission was one of my favorite places to visit. The big Cross on the hill, and the altar inside with its collection of candles and strange old dolls.

I loved Tuscon too, Marty. We almost have considered to settle down in Tuscon, were looking for all those nice "Adobe houses". I really fell in love with that place ;))

And the Mission is very impressive, yes! I mad a lot of photos, they are to find in my archives from last year, Mai/June 09.

Arizona is beautiful and magic - for me.

thanks for the comment,Marty!

I swore you were in Spain, it looks like a mission from the pilgrim trail. Nice shot.

It is a so called "Spanish Mission" in Tuscon, Arizona. It is one of the best kept and oldest Missions in the U.S. - worth's to visit!

Thanks for commenting, Diane, very much appreciated.
