Dandelion Flower - Sign of Spring

It's springtime - Yeah!

The Medicinal use of the Dandelions

flowers, roots and leaves, have been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine & medicinal teas, most notably for liver detoxification, as a natural diuretic and for inflammation reduction. Unlike other diuretics, dandelion leaves contain good amounts of potassium, a mineral that is often lost during increased urination. There is also evidence that this property of dandelion leaves may normalize blood sugar.

Hi my friends,

Now it's official, it's springtime. I hope it's arrived everywhere you are living, so you can enjoy also the coming warmer days  :)

Thank you for all the wonderful comments to my posts recently. Looking forward to all the new ones coming up....LOL...

I wish you a great day and see you tomorrow, right? :)
Susanne

We used to have Italians who grew large dandelions and ate them in salads every day. I would collect the leaves for my rabbits and they would sit and munch away. I would love the fairies that would blow in the wind from them and would sigh when upon catching one that I could never catch it without disturbing some of the fluff at the end of the seed pod.
Happy Spring you you as well :)

Ich habe gedacht, bei euch sei schon lange Frühling! Ja, und in der Schweiz wird es morgen sogar fast 20°C. Es ist sooooo angenehm nach dieser langen Kälte.
Also, schöne Frühlingsgrüsse an Dich und David!
Gruss, Peter

Susanne for us is the opposite, we get those more in the fall, sometimes in the spring. Excellent close up as always. Anna :)
