Yesterday and Today

We decided yesterday Monday, to visit "The Petrified Forest" National Park on I-40 to West between Albuquerque and Flagstaff in Arizona

Very bizarre looking, but beautiful formations everywhere in the park

And almost to the end of the ride (25 Miles total) we saw all these petrified wood pieces

From far away they looked like real trees

Petrified Forest National Park

With one of the world's largest and most colorful concentrations of petrified wood, multi-hued badlands of the Painted Desert, historic structures, archeological sites, and displays of over 200-million-year-old fossils, this is a surprising land of scenic wonders and fascinating science.

Read and learn more about the petrified Forest here

And today we were visiting the absolutely spectacular Grand Canyon. I'll show you more photographs tomorrow from this beautiful day today.

Hi my friends,

we are just now discovering the beauty of the National Parks in Arizona and I can tell you, it's amazing, it's overwhelming, it's just breathtaking! I made a lot of pictures, of course ...LOL... and I want to share some of them with you.

Again, I have to tell you this: America is beautiful!

Thanks for all your wonderful comments recently to my posts, I'm happy that you like my photography. Stay with me :)

I have been in that forest and it is quite lovely, especically in the late afternoon. You caught the light just right in your photos. We also have a pertified forest here in Central Mississippi. I use to collect pertified wood years ago that I would find in a near-by creek. Often found very large pieces too large to lift or bring home. It is really beautiful and when polished simply gorgeous.
