Tidal Treasures...

Sea Shell by Amy Lowell

Sea Shell, Sea Shell,
Sing me a song, O Please!
A song of ships, and sailor men,
And parrots, and tropical trees,
Of islands lost in the Spanish Main
Which no man ever may find again,
Of fishes and corals under the waves,
And seahorses stabled in great green caves.
Sea Shell, Sea Shell,
Sing of the things you know so well.

Come walk with me...

Come walk with me
Along the sea
Where dusk sits on the land
And search with me
For shells are free,
And treasures hide in sand.

THE TIDE

The tide recedes, but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth
still lingers on the land.

The music stops, yet echoes on
in sweet, soulful refrains.
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains."

It is winter and we finally got snow in Oslo, Norway last night so thanks for reminding me of the lovely summer time :-)

Hi Renny,

thanks for stopping by and for your kind comment. It is cold here too in Charleston, not only in Oslo :)

Thanks Bob! It's not that war at all here in Charleston too ;) it was just a nice sunny day on the cold beach. Thanks for your comment! :)

3rd image is my fave.

I've been dying for it to warm up here (Australia) so I can soak my body in the ocean! The beach has always been one of my favorite places to go... and take some of my own pics :)

These images reminded me that I can enjoy the beach even when it's cold - some of my best moments at the beach were on cold days when not a sole could be seen.

Hi Tricia,

I love the beach and would have a hard time to live without to be close enough to the water :)

Wonderful seashell shots Sue. I love the star shell.

Yes, the sea star caught my eyes too, it's so beautiful together with that rest of a conch shell in a nice sunlight :)

Thank you Carol!
