Gasp!! How have I never seen your blog before?!?!?! It's been so good for me to see Charleston with fresh eyes! We've been here 34 years now and I really have been taking it for granted. Yuo've shown me anew how terrific Charleston is. Your views of it are the best intrepretation I've seen--you really convey your excitement at seeing it to me again! Isn't it wonderful! I'm glad you're as happy to be here as we were and are. We live out in the country now, in Yonges Island, which we also love. I saw that in your earliest posts you even had pictures of The Pink House on Chalmers. I was a full partner in the gallery there untill two months ago when I retired. My work is still there, but on the third floor.
first: very nice to meet you too! Thank you so much for your nice compliments to my work. It makes me happy to see and to hear that people like my work in photography. and YES, I love Charleston, it has culture, it has charm and it is sophisticated, the people are nice and easy going.
I don't think we are in a competition together in anyway, right? You love photography and I'm doing photography my whole life long, it was my profession and my big love - beside my husband of course!...LOL..
TGIF!!! Finally, some moments without having to think on things to do tomorrow and with time to come and enjoy your posts! Loved to see the beautiful doors and gates of Charleston, the amazing squirrels and of course the lovely flowers! Thanks for your comments at Blogtrotter where I'm now strolling around Bilbao! Have a great weekend! Gil
Hi, I found your blog through Sandpipers'. I liked the swallowtail photo, it'll be a while before I see any butterflies around here, winter just does not to want to leave this year.

I'd love to catch a butterfly to snap. I've seen plenty while out driving and unfortunately caught a couple on my windshield.
