At Sunset Time
A Down thw west a golden glow
Sinks burning in the sea,
And all the dreams of long ago
Come flooding back to me.
The past has writ a story strange
Upon my aching heart,
But time has wrought a subtle change,
My wounds have ceased ro smart.
No more the quick delight of youth,
No more the sudden pain,
I look no more for trust or truth
Where greed may compass gain.
What, was it I who bared my heart
Through unrelenting years,
And knew the sting of misery's dart,
The tang of sorrow's tears?
'Tis better now, I do not weep,
I do not laugh nor care;
My soul and spirit half asleep
Drift aimless everywhere.
We float upon a sluggish stream,
We ride no rapids mad,
While life is all a tempered dream
And every joy half sad.

So very relaxing Sue..Nice to know that after every busy day you have a beautiful sunset to look forward to...
Hi Sue, sorry for having taken so much time to come back here, but these last weeks have been awful.
Anyhow, was lucky enough to get here on time for another great shot.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Gil
Thank you Rick for this nice comment.
Today it was one of the most dramatic sunsets we had, the light in the clouds was beautiful!
Hi Gil
Thanks for taking your time and visiting my blog. I knew you were somewhere on a travel trip again, I hope you had a good time!
Thank you also for the Thanksgiving wishes.

Thank you very much to

@evlahos
for your very nice comments to this post. I really appreciate your visits!
Beautiful again, btw I like your lemon clock, very refreshing and every time I see it it gives me goose bumps, lol, same way as I would eat it. Nice poem, really fits with the photo. Anna :)
Hi Anna,
You make me smile all the time with your funny comments...LOL..
Do you ever had Key Limes? They ARE sooooo sour, you cannot eat them and you will have BIG goose bumps, I promise you. It's really a very special taste, you like it or you hate it! They use them for the world wide well known Key West Lime Pie.
I wonder if those Key Limes you mentioned are the same as the one called Lemoncito (a lemon type that are around one inch diameter only, they are sour but they make great juice)
Hi JAZEVOX
yes, you are right, this are those sour very small lemons and they are grass green. They look already bitter...:-)only to use for juice.
Susanne, thanks - I have to tell you I am one of those people that will try all kinds of food (as long as it is not moving, lol), and sometimes it is only once too - like you said it you either love it or hate it or just cannot take it again, may be one day I will have the opportunity to try the Key Limes. I know we have green limes size of an egg here, not sure if these are the same type, may be they still grow while travelling to Canada, lol. Thanks for your great info again....and I will be back later, as I have to tell you a little secret - I am at work, lol, and I slip blog comment there and there as the opportunity arises. Anna :)
Hi Anna,
oops, you are actually working, beside your blogging, WOW, I didn't knew that...LOL...I thought you make your money from writing comments everywhere...LOL..
Thanks for writing me one here! :-)
Susanne, no they are all free and come from the heart, and there always be more if time permits :)), Anna :) BTW I only make 1 cent per day on google ads, lol, I don't think that income can support me, and my camera equipment, lol.
Hi Anna, nice to see you again!
So, then we both don't go rich over night with Google ads, right? I even don't make 01 cents per day...anyway, it's more fun to post and to get comments from nice friends, like you, right?:-)
hey Anna, i hope your boss will not ended up in the same blog (Sue's Daily Photography) as you, and see your comments here..about being at work, doing comments :-)
Great, my blog is developping to a inter-blogger-platform...go on, JAZEVOX and Anna....and don't worry, Anna's boss was here already, incognito, that's the guy with the big black glasses...LOL...
