We have also the best sunsets in the world - the tourist guides are writing that, not me!
And for the most, I like the pictures after sunset when the whole sky turns into a deep red, purple or gold. It looks like fire in the sky.

Those are absolutely gorgeous. I love nature photos. Here in the deep south we have some wonderful sunsets. When I lived in Nevada the desert has some really startling sunsets. All that wide open space. I love it! :o)
Hi Titania,
thanks for commenting and I'm glad you liked my burning sky pictures.
I have visited the Silver State some years ago and made out there in the desert, by the red rocks, some great sunset shots too. I loved to be there to see and to feel that open wide, magical places!
What amazing colours! Beautiful!
wow - love that last one with the purples and the clouds - beautiful!
Many thanks goes to
KML and Jenty
for your both comment. I appreciate your words very much!
These are great photos of a wonderful nature phenomena Sue. You often see it in Norway and once I made a post out of it.
Thank you Renny,
it's nice to know that other bloggers like this post and to get such wonderful comments.
I visited your photos and indeed they look very close to mine here in the subtropics - except the snow, of course...smile...
Wow, you blew me away with these, for second I thought I was on Bob's blog (Blackholes & Astrostuff) and looking at the sun photo, but then, I am still saying wow, I wish I could capture something like that here, or even experience something like this - no chance. Very well done, Anna :)
WOW! I have only seen a sky like that once in my life. You are so blessed to see this every evening Sue!
Hi Rick,
No, no, no....not every evening, but many times and it's really very impressive every time.I thought you will like it!:-)
Hi Anna,
I made you speechless for a while...smile..glad you liked these series of sunset skies. It has to do something with the angle of the setting sun down here, that's why we can have such fantastic colored clouds long after the sun is "gone".
Oh my, the skies are gorgeous! We just don't get skies like that because of all the mountains that surround us so I am simply amazed when I see pictures like this... you capture them just perfectly!
Thank you so much Michele for commenting to my sky photos.
Sunsets in the mountains can be also very fantastic and dramatic, I know that!
Stunning and breathtaking, thanks for sharing, looks like they came out of a magazine!
Thanks Bob,
I wish they would have been published in a magazin, but they were not.
These colors are just a magical game of mother nature down here!
Just incredible Sue. I'm speechless.
Stumbled them!
Thank you Thomas!!! :-)

Thank you Lord Manila,
I'm glad you liked the pictures, thank you for the nice compliment!
There is no "recipe" behind these pictures. Just to be with your camera on the right spot, in the right moment, that's all - and my many year experience in photography.:-)
What amazing sunsets! I will have to forward you blog post on to several people I know will love it. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Sandra,
