Really great photos, good idea to copy right your work. They all look like some form of Orchid all except the first one, but knowing the Orchid family(not) it very well may be one as well. Please let me know if I am close to being correct. I am in no way horticulturist.

Your photos are exquisite, Sue! If you like reading, I will be posting one of my short stories on my site, The Alien Next Door, with some photos I have taken... :)

Hi Debo, thanks for your kind comment. The 1./4./and the 5. photo these are orchids for sure - I just don't know the names from. The 2nd picture is a wild Ginger flower, even here I'm not 100% sure of that! And the 3. pic is a poinciana flower - I think. Btw, what is a horticulturist?

Hi sfgirl, thank you for you nice comment. I like to read, yes, if the text is not to difficult to understand for someone like me who doesn't is great in the English language - I'm still learning. I will check out your post!

Sue thanks for letting me know what the flowers are. I 'think' a horticulturist is a person who studies flowers. Anybody?

Hi Sue, I have no idea what they are apart from orchids, i have recently posted some orchid pictures and it shows the difference between your tropical ones and the ones we have here. They are all beautiful though.

Whoa! Fantastic - especially that one near the bottom that resembles some sort of crap-like creature. Except, you know, it's yellow...and it's not a crab...yeah. But I do like these very much! I wish I could help you with the names, but all I can do is say that they're great!

Hi Sue,
Excellent photos ! Really beautiful. What sort of equipment do you use?

Hi Dennda, thanks for your compliments. I like your flower pictures on your blog! You do fine with your camera, I guess. And as you know probably also it is still NOT the camera who makes the pictures - it is only YOU and your great eyes who SEE the picture! The camera is only a tool to finish your idea and creativity, right....?

Hi Vic, as I wrote just above to Dennda about equipments and so... to answer your question about equipment I use: I worked my whole life long with NIKONS, Rollei,Hasselblad, NIKON F3, ND70, ND80. I still like to work the "old fashion" with the 35mm. Only weddings I do with my D70/D80 because I need the speed and the high resolution.

you're right, is not the equipment, it's the eye, but i do my photos with a P&S camera, canon a420 ! :) I'll change it soon with a canon 350D. :D
