Grand Canyon National Park
A powerful and inspiring landscape, the Grand Canyon overwhelms our senses through its immense size; 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep.

Hi my friends,
I think these pictures don't need any words! The Grand Canyon is overwhelmingly beautiful - and full with tourists of all nationalities.
Thank you so much for all your kind comments and compliments to my post from yesterday. Today we relaxed a day more here in Northern Arizona, close to Utah. And that's the place where we will be heading on tomorrow: The Brice Canyon! People say, it's almost prettier than the Grand Canyon. It's hard to believe, but I'm very excited to see that and to show you photos about again, hoping not to bore you to much...LOL...
Stay with me :)

Alas, I've seen the sign for the Grand Canyon hundreds of times off of I-40 west of Flagstaff, but the closest I ever came to actually seeing it was to the east, while headed south on US 89. I would like to believe that I could see the rim at times, but I was probably too far away for that to be true.
Awesome!!!!
OH WOW wonderful images Suesanne. My favourite is Number 3 but they are all so beautfiul. I so much envy you as it's a place i've always wanted to photograph.
Oh wow it really does look like that!! I always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon!! Incredible!
Amazing pics Susanne.
Majestic is the right word for it. You know I love mountains, but this is so different from the Norwegians - breath taking - thanks for sharing!
P.S.: Sorry, I got so caught up in reminiscing that I forgot to mention how much I love your pics. Number 7 is my favorite because of all of the different shades of purple.
