Perhaps....

Perhaps it is because cats do not live by human patterns, do not fit themselves into prescribed behavior, that they are so united to creative people.

    I think it's a cat's independence and mysterious nature that make them so appealing to artists. Of course that's just the way artists depict them (especially the black ones); they may not be like that at all.

    Thanks Marty for this comment! I had 3 cats when I lived in Switzerland, a black, a tiger and a red one - every one had his own personality and sometimes all 3 were sitting on my lap and/or keyboard :))

    Cats sure are different. My cat was raised by a dog so he was walking tall and proud all his life till he died.
    He was a great cat.
