A colorful Contrast

We have strong and cool north winds just now over the island, long jeans and warmer shirts and even warm jackets in the evening is what we are wearing now in paradise - and we are so not used too. :-))

I made these photos from my again and again blooming orchid outside in the yard. I think it makes a nice and colorful contrast to the COLD days that we have since yesterday.

I got this plant from my daughter Jeannine in 2005 as a good bye gift on her last day vacation here before she had to fly back to Switzerland. Since then the plant is enjoying me with sweet memories with my daughter - I miss her so much...

  13. Susanne, very nice photo collection of this flower, what a interesting flower and unique, both sharp and round edges, and yellow is beautiful - for some reason it reminds me a Praying Mantis, and don't ask me why, lol, I don't know. Anna :)
