Sunset Schooner

Sailing the waters of Key West aboard a tall ship is an adventure most want to repeat. Majestic and towering, these vessels remind admirers of Key West's rich maritime history. You can relax aboard one of the island's historic schooners, each spacious and impressive. With tall wooden masts securing their billowing sails in the breeze, the ships leisurely meander the calm waters as the sun sets. The boats are very stable and offer drinks for the duration of the sail. The crews are happy to oblige guests who want to help hoist the sails.

    I love the tall ships! Was there a gathering in KW? Man, there's nothing like a sailboat with three or more masts running full-sail. What a sight.

    Sorry I haven't been around lately, things are crazy. Good, but crazy! :)

    I am lucky, happy and pleased: I am already "far away". Because looking at pictures like this one would always incite my "Fernweh". And I love sunset pictures. The one on your post "Day is gone - gone the sun" too. We have fabulous sunsets here. You would make phantastic photos here. Perhaps I could ask WFP to make a special flight Key West - Nyala for you to take pictures here? :-)

    You had one of your best idea ever, Peter! Please ask WFP to let me do some photography over there. As a Swiss citizen I can be a part of that organization too and do something helpful what I can do the best: photos. And I would LOVE to combine travel and photography! :-)
