Big White Heron - A little Photo Story

Big white Heron bird in front of the East Martello Museum looking for food

For some minutes it seems he liked to pose for me...

But then, he decided: what enough is, is enough and just walked away, out of the scene...

...and flew away, pretty low first, some feet only over the road...

and then up in the air, higher and higher.

At least I got some nice shots for my blog!

  4. What a beautiful bird! I'm so clumsy so I always manage to scare the animals away when I try to photograph them. Unless they are in a zoo, then they just look at me and seem to wonder who that silly little woman with a camera is.

I really liked your story too!

  11. Wow, these are such a beautiful photos, and thanks for giving me a lesson on a big white heron before, now I know. I really like it especially the contrast among other objects and between people. Our herons (not white) are gone now, I saw some last week, but in a week it got really cold and they probably pack their bags, and never know may be they flew your way, lol. Anna :)

  12. Hi Anna,

I think they are here already. I heard them complaining about the cold they get in Canada...they must have been in your region...LOL...

  17. You have managed to get some very good captures here. The bird always turns out as the focus of the photo, which is difficult to achieve. Nice shots.
