Hi my friends,
Thank you all for your kind comments and compliments to my last post....if they were made here or on facebook, I appreciate them all!
You would not believe it, but it was so hard to find a poem about pelicans! But I got one - the one above, and I like it, it's short and humorous. I hope you'll enjoy too.
These coming next days I will try to capture the closest full moon we have now since long time in history. I hope the "Weather Gods" will be good to us and will not cover up the whole night sky with clouds :))
Wishing you a happy Friday - weekend is just around the corner!

Love this shot...whenever we are down in Florida I shoot at least 20 photos of them as I am totally, hopelessly smitten by these birds.
:)) you too? :)) I love them also so much, I think, they have really character, every single one of them!
Thanks for commenting, Joan!
Always love your pelican shots, and this one is especially vivid. And limerick is truly ingenious. Inspired by all the pelicans at Santa Barbara Beach last March I wrote this journal entry:
"A hundred pelicans flying overhead. How can that not change your life?"
Thank you for liking my pelican shots, Marty.
I don't know exactly how your live could be changed by having 100 pelicans flying over your head... I'm not sure, but I think, I would open up a umbrella...*smile*.... you never know... :))
The pelican is beautiful..but more stunning are the colors and patterns in the water. Gorgeous image!
photo of pelican is excellent..shooting talent is superb..thanks
