There were also some surfers enjoying the braking waves
Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering.
I hope you'll enjoy these wave photos like I did it for real yesterday. Watching them it's for me like meditation, like medicine for the soul. Next time I'll make a video, so you will be able to hear the song of the ocean too.

I'm late today with posting, I know. We have visited a friend and went out to the beach this afternoon - and it was very nice, but hot. I shot some beach scenes photos. It was overwhelming to listen to the sound of the breaking waves coming in to the shores, it was "high-tide" time. I will show you some of them maybe tomorrow, so be patience :)

I feel like I've never had a home, you know? I feel related to the country, to this country, and yet I don't know exactly where I fit in... There's always this kind of nostalgia for a place, a place where you can reckon with yourself.

A spur is a metal tool designed to be worn in pairs on the heels of riding boots for the purpose of directing a horse to move forward or laterally while riding. I've started with this phenomena "Blog" back then when I was living down in Key West, looking for another, more vivid media than my website it was to show the world my photos, and not knowing anything about blogging and what I was doing at all. I was building up quick a great fan community. I got fans and I got also a lot of fantastic friends allover the world: YOU!

I met yesterday a very nice person again who I haven't seen for 18 years. The first moment to see each other again was very overwhelming and exciting. But after 5 minutes talking together it felt like there never ever has been 18 years in between, we had great discussion and laughter and of course there was a lot of memories to share together.

For me as an American, the most painful aspect of this is that I believe that that administration has taken the events of 9/11 and has manipulated the grief of the country and I think that's reprehensible.

We went today around in down town of Eau Gallie, Melbourne and have visited some art galleries and met new artists. I like that part of town. Next time I'll take also my camera with me, like the real photographers normally do....LOL... I forgot to take it with me...shame on me! :)

I'm happy, I'm back again to posting and to a great Internet connection, every day from now on. I'll visit your blogs, your sites and FB, SU and all the other social sites now more often than I could before on our travels - it was just not always possible. But, you know my story - and it's not an excuse :)
Just to visit all your wonderful blogs that I do follow is a big job, I think I will reduce this "work" to once a week or so... o.k., maybe twice per week... so be patient and stay with me!
Life is not just blogging, right...? :) We, Dave and I, have to build up a new business too to make the money back in again that we spent on our travels..... *smile*....

The Violetears are hummingbirds of the genus Colibri. They are medium to large species found in the highlands and mountains of Central and northern South America.
Violetears have ample rounded tails and short or medium bills. Three of the species have mainly green plumage. The males have a violet patch running back and down from the eye, which is erected when they are excited, and a glittering throat patch. The female plumage is generally like the male’s, but the ear and throat patches are smaller
Violetears build substantial cup nests into which two white eggs are laid. They have loud persistent songs, often repetitions of double notes.
These birds come readily to artificial nectar feeders, and show no fear of humans. They are aggressively territorial, and spend much of their time at feeders or flowering shrubs chasing other hummingbirds with their ear patches erect, rather than feeding.
No one can eat in peace and quiet! There was a wasp coming up bothering the cute hummingbird and of course, the fight for food get started. Believe me or not, the wasp won! :)
