Touring Down Town in a Horse Carriage

On a wonderful warm spring day like these it's the best thing to do for tourists, take a horse carriage ride! You will see and experience the charm of this town the most this way, listening to the tour guide words.

The horses stop here and there and you will not miss out one of those wonderful historic houses and corners.

And this wonderful animals are waiting very patiently.

Let's go, up to the next destination!

With my next visitors from abroad I will be also a horse carriage tourist, special when my grandchildren will be visiting me one day. :-)

  1. Suzanne, all your photos are absolutely lovely. We visited Charleston some years ago, and you capture the beauty I remember.

  3. Last time I had a similar experience was some 24 years ago in Williamsburg, but that's no living town... ;) Beautiful pictures, and it looks a beautiful town...
Also loved to see that Spring is definitely installed in Charleston; maybe one day I'll drive Southwards from NYC and get there...
Have a great weekend Sue, and thanks for your kind and regular comments on Blogtrotter!

  5. Suzanne, we were in Savannah two weeks ago, visiting my dad, and we took the trolley tour around the city--an experience very similar to yours, without the horses.

Thanks for the Charleston tour--I hope to go there someday!

  6. Hi Linda,

I'm glad you had a good time in Savannah, a beautiful town, very similar to Charleston. I took myself the Trolley tour and I know what you are talking about.

  9. Ooops I missed this one, good thing I looked again, lol. These are really cool horses, we have them to in the city though, but you know when they have to go, the scent is not that pleasant, lol. Did you ever watch Sienfeld, when Cramer was doing city tours with his horse carriage and feeding them cans of beans, lol. Thanks for sharing, and nice reminders, Anna :)
