Sailing away

The Pleasure Boat

The sun-light falling on her sheet,
It glitters like the drift,
Sparkling, in scorn of summer's heat,
High up some mountain rift.

The winds are fresh-she's driving fast.
Upon the bending tide,
The crinkling sail, and crinkling mast,
Go with her side by side.

  4. Hi Renny,

Down here in the Caribbeans we have the pirates. That's another tradition of sailors than the Norwegians, I guess..? Rrrrr.... :-))

Thank you so much for your comment!

  6. Yep, here is THE international meeting point for "sailors from all over the world" - welcome on board!

Thank you for your nice comment, GMG. I loved your last postings about Cezannes living place. I'm a big admirer of Cezannes paintings, almost more than Van Gogh's.
